Ośenczukowski / Osieńczukowski / Osęczukowski
I am looking for the geneological roots of Osenczukowski
family. From my grandfather (Evgeni Limanov) I know that our
grandgrandgrand father was from an ancient noble family Osenczukowski
(I am not sure about spelling). He was one of the leaders
of the revolt in Poland against Russian tsarism. Then, when
the revolt failed (in 1830 th or 1860 th) he ran to the territory
of Russia and lived near the river Don. In order to escape
he changed his surname and took the surname Limanovskiy (lived
at Donskoy liman - Donskoy estuary), then russified it for
Limanov. It is interesting to find far relatives in Poland
or somewhere abroad who came from this family.

I am looking for my great-uncle - Ludwig Szymanowski, brother
of my grandmother Jadwiga Szymanowska. He was born in Vilnius
(Wilna) in about 1908; but in 1944 he emigrated to Australia
from Minsk, USSR. He had three brothers: Henryk, Czeslaw and
Leonid. The name of his father was Stanislaw, his mother –
Anna. If he is dead, I would like to find his children.

Vorontsov-Velyaminov
I am looking for any information regarding Vladimir and Katarina
Vorontsov-Velyaminov. Unfortunately, I have little information, and
the information I do have may be inaccurate.
- They were both deceased before 1917, Katarina probably in 1907
- Katarina's maiden name was Zemczuznikow (exact spelling unknown)
- They had at least six children (Olga, Katarina, Maria and Sergei,
other names unknown)
- One older son may have escaped to France during or after the 1917 Revolution
- They lived in a place called Maliniki (I believe that is the name of
the property, otherwise could be the town of Malinky). I don't know in
which province.
- The children lived in Bobruisk after 1914
I'd love to hear from anyone that knows anything about the family.

Baron
I'm searching information about the school and school years of my husband's paternal grandfather Vasili Baron (father Petter / Peter) in St. Petersburg. He got a scholarship to a boarding school near the Summer Palace, and spent appr. 5 years in the school.
He was born 1896 in Karkku village of Salmi, Karelia (nowaday Karku, Salmi), next to Lake Ladoga. He was a Finnish Karelian and Orthodoxian. He changed the name of his family in 1930 as one of his friends (the richest man of Finland), gave him advice to change the surname. He and his family left Salmi in 1939.
Are there any archives where I could find info and documents about this school, scholarship and his school years in St. Petersburg?

von Wiesen/Fonvizin
I am looking for any information about von Wiesen (also Fonvizin) family in Russia, St Petersburg, Moscow or anywhere else in Russia. If there is living descendants or genealogist who is researching this family.
This name is also converted to Fonvizin and originates from Riga/Prussia/Baltics and are German of Lutheran Evangelical faith.
Earlier Fonvizins in Russia have came earlier to Russia in the end of 1500s and converted to orthodox faith. My family branch came around 1840 or so to St Petersburg. Painter Artur Fonvizin is also part of this branch . Any kind of information is welcomed. You can find me also from forum.vgd.ru and geni.com

Kokovtsov
We inform about the launching of a private project to study the genetic roots of the Kokovtsov noble family. Descendants of the Kokovtsovs are invited to participate. Necessary requirements (one or both) are as follows:
1. You have at least one ancestor from the Kokovtsov family who lived after year 1700. The later the ancestor lived, the better it is for research. For men and women, age does not matter.
2. You keep the continuity strictly in the male line from the oldest known representative of the genus - Yakov Kokovtsov (family tree is available via internet) OR his descendants strictly in the male line also. The time of birth of the ancestor does not matter. Only for men, age does not matter. This is the research on the Y chromosome.
